	Teddy bear Margarete, is made from white alpaca, 5 way jointed, 35 cm in size and limited to 3000 pieces only. A photograph of Margarete Steiff serves as an inspiration for this bear. She seldom let herself be photographed with a Steiff animal. On her lap she is holding the so-called "Baho" Teddy bear, which means "bear with trousers" and is stroking him lovingly on the ear. The soles and paws are made of wool felt and the nose, mouth and claws are hand embroidered. He is made in remembrance of the 100th anniversary of Margarete Steiff's death. 	Steiff Club membership gift 2009 Teddy bear, is 10 cm in size and comes in a collectors box with certificate of authenticity. The bear is made out of soft black colored alpaca and the nose, mouth and claws are hand stitched with a silver colored yarn. EAN 420962

	The Steiff Club Annual Edition 2009, is a brass colored mohair bear, is 30 cm in size and is 5-way jointed. His nose, mouth and claws are hand-stitched. The soles of his feet and his paws are also made of fine mohair and are a perfect match with the color of his fur. He wears a orange bow. 	The Event bear 2009 Gretchen, only available at special Steiff trunk shows and club events, is made out of rose mohair and is a 21 cm in size. She is called Gretchen in memory of the 100th anniversary of the death of the founder on the 9th of May. The bear has "Steiff Club" printed on his right foot and "Gretchen" on the chest tag. The bear does not come in a box but has a certificate of authenticity. The edition size was 2750 pieces. EAN 420986

	Margarete's workshop, is modeled up to the smallest detail on Margarete Steiff's everyday life in 1880. This bear version includes family members like her sister in law Anna, who stood by her throughout her life, the still small nephews Richard and Paul, the Dalmatian who can also be seen on the famous historical photo of Margarete Steiff and of course the legendary first "Elefäntle" and a miniature version of the fashion magazine where she found the pattern. The children's clothes and the newspaper holder represent things that served Margarete Steiff in livelihood, before the Steiff animal was born. The nostalgic sewing machine is modeled up to the smallest detail. Flo was not available for sale and could only be obtained by recruiting three new Steiff club members between August 1st and December 31st 2009. He is five way jointed, has a hand stitched nose and mouth, and a beautiful facial expression. This wonderful Teddy bear is accessorized with a charming vintage style bell on a leather cord around his neck. He is filled with steel pellets for additional huggability. Flo is a limited edition Teddy bear and only the amount will be produced as the number of qualifying Club members who meet the promotion requirements of recruiting three new Steiff club members. 	The Mini Steiff Summer Festival 2009 Teddy bear, is limited to 129 pieces, 18 cm in size and was not available for sale. This bear was presented as a gift by Steiff to each of the exhibitors at the Steiff Summer festival. He is made of white mohair and wears a nice violet colored ribbon around his neck. He has black eyes and a hand stitched violet nose. He comes in a box and has a certificate of authenticity. EAN 656965

	The Steiff Summer Festival workshop Teddy bear has been produced in an edition of 59 pieces only at the Steiff Summer Festival 2009 in Giengen Germany. The unusual aspect of this bear is that there is no bear in this edition of 59 pieces which looks alike. Each bear was produced by one of the 59 participants of the workshop organized by the Steiff Club during the Summer Festival. The bears paws are embroidered with the festival logo (right) and name of the participant and date of the event (left). Each participant could choose the color of the eyes and the yarn for the stitching of the nose, mouth and paws. The growler and eyes were put in by the participants as was the stitching done by themselves. They had to stuff the bear as well with some of the wood shavings after they had put in the growler. 	The Bear on wheels 1919 was manufactured during demonstrations at the fourth "Steiff Sommer" in 2009. The bear on wheels is made from brown mohair, 18 cm in size and is filled with wood shavings. 	The NATO Teddy bear, is made from gold plush, is approximately 35 cm in size, is not limited, does come in a bag but does not have a certificate of authenticity. The Prime Minister from the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany, Günther H. Oettinger, presented a Steiff teddy bear as a gift to NATO representatives. The surprise gift, a Steiff teddy bear decorated with a Baden-Wuerttemberg-order, was hiding in a spotted cloth bag imprinted with "Your first ally was a Baden-Wurttemberger". In the enclosed letter from the Prime Minister it said: "For over 100 years, a hairy Baden-Wurttemberger is faithful in children's rooms all over the world." The animal with the famous Steiff button in the ear, has currently an export quota of over 45% and is one of the many quality products from Baden-Württemberg, which are internationally known and appreciated. 	The Weleda bear grip, is made from light brown plush and is 12 cm in size, is not limited, does not come in a box and does not have a certificate of authenticity. 	The Charly Teddy bear soccer game DFB cup Berlin 30th May 2009, is 23 cm in size and made from beige plush. This bear was issued to commemorate the final of the German soccer cup in 2009 between Werder Bremen and Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The game was won by Werder Bremen with a score of 1-0. This bear is a standard Charly Teddy bear with yellow tag and he wears a green ribbon that has "DFB-Pokalendspiel Berlin 30. Mai 2009" (DFB cup final Berlin 30th May 2009) imprinted on it. 	The Bose Lulac dangling rabbit, is 45 cm in size and made out of gray/white plush. He is not limited and comes in a wooden box with certificate of authenticity. This rabbit was not available in any store and one could only obtain him with the purchase of a Bose product. EAN 122798

	Samuel Whiskers is made from russet alpaca, is 22 cm in size and not limited (yellow tag). He wears his unmistakable green jacket, yellow waistcoat and trousers, and beautifully handcrafted leather shoes. Beatrix Potter based him on her own pet rat, describing him as: "an affectionate little friend, and most accomplished thief." He does not come in a box or with a certificate of authenticity. 	The Teddy bear with suitcase and Maerklin passenger car 20 Years of German reunification contains a 10 cm Steiff Teddy bear, which is 5-way jointed, made from gold colored mohair, is named Eberhard and a Maerklin passenger car. The Teddy bear comes dressed in a coat and carries a suitcase in one paw and the German flag in the other. The Maerklin passenger car is painted in the German colors black-red-gold. On the wagon is printed "20 Jahre Deutsche Einheit" (20 Years German Union). 	Rumors have been floating around for a bit and now finally here he is, the Steiff Karl Lagerfeld Teddy bear, turning famous designer Lagerfeld into a plush toy. German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, turned 75 (born September 10th 1933), has created a Steiff teddy bear version of himself. The teddy bear comes wearing the famous black suit, white shirt, black tie and trademark sunglasses, an outfit by the designer that one got used to over the years. The materials were individually selected: black jacket made of Italian wool, white poplin shirt with standing collar and trompe l’oeil look button holes, jeans with a patina from the Karl Lagerfeld collection, black silk cravat and Swarovski crystal, belt made of real leather, the initials of the "maestro" are set with crystals, tailor made boots and miniature glasses from the “Lagerfeld eyewear” line. Steiff said the Lagerfeld teddy's costume is based on the designer's typical garb. The cut for the jeans and jacket are based on his Paris collection and the designer watched over the bear's fittings personally. "I'm only interested in myself and my mirror image", the designer said in a statement released by Steiff. It is expected to become a hot collectors item. 	The Stoker Teddy bear with Maerklin HO locomotive and coal wagon, consists out of a 10 cm, 5-way jointed, beige mohair Steiff Teddy bear dressed as a Stoker, a Maerklin HO locomotive (11cm) and a coal wagon. The original of this new edition was born in 1931 when he elated his little owner Klara Steiff, Margarete Steiff’s third cousin, as a prototype elephant with an unbelievable range of motions and fabulous tricks. Thanks to a special neck mechanism that was developed in 1931 by Hugo Steiff, the elephant’s head can be moved in a circle by turning the tail. 	The Ronny Teddy bear with Trabbi for the 20th Anniversary of the Berlin wall tear down, is made from gold mohair, 10 cm in size and limited to 1000 pieces. The Berlin wall was opened on the 9th of November 1989 which was 28 years after it was erected. The bear wears a blue jeans jacket and to be in line with the festivities a knitted scarf in the colors of the German banner. On the back of his jacket are the words "Die Mauer ist weg" (The wall is gone) embroidered in the same colors as his scarf. He comes with a replica of the famous East German Trabant 601, 20 x 9 x 7,8 cm in szie, which was just called Trabbi by Germans from the East and the West. This bear was issued by the German department store Karstadt in Munich and as such does he wear a typical Bavarian white-blue checkered neckerchief and has "Oktoberfest" embroidered on his right paw. He has a little beer belly and a hint of some whiskers. The "Oktoberfest is the world famous fair that is hold every year in Munich at the end of September and beginning of October. The Berlin wall was opened on 9th November 1989 and this bear was issued to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the tear down of the Berlin wall. 	Steiff already once collaborated on a Teddy bear with a legendary fashion designer, best known for being the head designer and creative director for Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld. Steiff are back with yet another high-profile release, this time in collaboration with Japanese cotton-masters, Loopwheeler. Well known for their recent work with Nike Sportswear, Loopwheeler have manufactured a miniature hoody to fit a Steiff’s teddy bear. The Loopwheeler Classic Teddy bear 1909 comes in an edition of 150 pieces, is made from blond mohair and is 25 cm in size. For this edition a standard yellow tag Classic teddy bear 1909 has been used. The hoody comes complete with elastic cuffs, metal zipper, chest patch and utilizes screen-printing. He wears under his hoody a denim overall and has canvas sneakers. The patch was created with a ‘Germany meets Japan’ motif – paying homage to the nationalities of each collaborator. The Teddy bear, stuffed with wood shavings, is made from fine mohair that is typical for Steiff and it has been combined with the finest raw silk for this 125 Karat Teddy bear, giving him a unique sheen. In addition to this, glittering threads of gold have been hand-knotted into his soft fur coat.
