Steiff Club
	The Event bear 2014 Bert, only available at special Steiff trunk shows and club events, is made out of beige colored artificial silk plush and is a 21 cm in size. He is 5-way jointed, and has a hand-stitched nose in a color that will remind you of wood or earth. Around his neck, the Teddy wears a white cotton collar. The bear does not come in a box but has a certificate of authenticity. The bear will only be available in 2014 and the edition size has not been announced by Steiff yet. EAN 421297

	Steiff Club membership gift 2014 Teddy bear, is 10 cm in size and comes in a collectors box with certificate of authenticity. The bear is made out of green colored mohair that echoes the color tone of the Chestnut Teddy bear. The fur is slightly curly or distressed to give it a vintage feel. The golden backing on the mohair adds to the bear’s antique appeal. Naturally, the Teddy is 5-way jointed and has hand-stitched features. The bear will only be available in 2014 and the edition size has not been announced by Steiff yet. EAN 421303

	Chestnut Teddy bear, is 33 cm in size, is 5-way jointed and is made from green colored mohair. There is perhaps nothing more magnificent than the chestnut tree. Some varieties are known to be 1,000 or more years old. The ancient Greek name for the nut was Sardis glans, from the town in Turkey (the capital of Lydia) where the tree first grew. It’s a member of the Fagaceae or Beech family. There is a famous chestnut tree in Sicily, known as the Tree of One Hundred Horses, under which Queen Joan of Aragon and her cavaliers sheltered during a storm in 1308. There is also an ancient chestnut tree in England which is said to have been planted in the time of King Egbert around the year 800. Old chestnut trees are quite splendid, with trunks of impressive girth. Inspired by these timeless natural treasures the Chestnut Teddy bear is sewn from the finest green mohair, which reflects the color of the tree’s leaves. Each leaf is intricately cut from genuine wool felt and attached to the bear on a natural brown cord. The paw pads are covered in delicate lace over pale mint green cotton jersey. The nose is hand-stitched from floss to match the color of the lace. Hand-sewn white claws accent each limb. Expressive, shiny black eyes add a finishing touch to this wonderful creation. 	The Loyalty Teddy bear, is 25 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from cream mohair and was limited to 650 pieces only. The Loyalty Teddy bear is available exclusively to members who have been with the Steiff Club for at least 5 years. He has a felt heart that can be individually embroidered as desired. Members who are entitled to this offer will receive an order coupon and the offer is limited to one bear per member. What is considered the symbol of love and affection? The heart, of course. If we are really grateful to someone for something, we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. The heart is always a symbol of meaningful emotional moments, and this is why this new Loyalty Teddy bear was given a heart. This heart says “thank you”, from the bottom of our hearts, to all those members who have been loyal to the Steiff Club for at least five years. The heart can be embroidered with the message of your choice. Only the font, number of lines and characters are preset. You decide whether you want to treat yourself or someone else. Steiff Festival Specials
	The Steiff Summer Festival workshop Teddy bear has been produced in an edition of 155 pieces and only approximately 60 of those were made at the Steiff Summer Festival 2014 in Giengen Germany. The unusual aspect of this bear is that there is no bear in this edition of 155 pieces which looks alike. Each bear was produced by one of the approximately 60 participants of the workshop organized by the Steiff Club during the Summer Festival. The bears paws are embroidered with the festival logo (right) and name of the participant and date of the event (left). Each participant could choose the color of the eyes and the yarn for the stitching of the nose, mouth and paws. The growler and eyes were put in by the participants as was the stitching done by themselves. They had to stuff the bear as well with some of the wood shavings after they had put in the growler. 	The Shaggy bear 1914 (Zottel) was manufactured during demonstrations at the ninth "Steiff Sommer" in 2014. The Shaggy bear is made from dark brown mohair, 17 cm in size, has glass eyes and is filled with wood shavings. It was back in 1914 that the Steiff “Zottelbaer” (Shaggy)first saw the light of day. At the Steiff Summer in 2014, Margarete Steiff GmbH marked Shaggy bear’s 100th birthday by recreating him as part of its manufacturing demonstration. The Pro UKBB foundation (Pro Universitäts-Kinderspital Beider Basel, the Basel University Children’s Hospital) was founded almost exactly 10 years ago. And Boby, the foundation’s lucky mascot, has been around for almost just as long. The main aim of the foundation is to ensure the wellbeing of the young patients in the children’s hospital. They are to receive the best possible care, and their stay made as pleasant and relaxed as possible. To this end, the foundation supports projects in infrastructure (such as playrooms), therapeutic services, modern equipment and research projects. Cheerful little Boby is always there, and all the children love him. However, there’s no denying that Boby is now getting on a bit. Steiff Replica Limited Editions
	The Lord Great Dane 1932, is 17 cm in size, stuffed with excelsior, has glass eyes, made from spotted light brown colored wool felt and is limited to 1000 pieces. Of all the thousands of different dogs produced by Steiff over the past decades, the Great Dane was made only once - in the period from 1932 through 1936. Because of the rarity and desirability of the first "Lord", Steiff is presenting an exceptional replica in 2014. Each piece is painstaking painted by hand. Even the nose is painted, not stitched. Pink accents at the ears, eyes and chin add extra detail. The dark brown glass eyes are individually handmade. Lord wears an "underscored" button that reflects the original time of production. 	The Teddy bear 1908, is 50 cm in size, 5-way jointed, has a growler, wooden eyes, head and arms are loosely attached to the body, stuffed with wood shavings, made from light cinnamon colored mohair and is limited to 1000 pieces. A decade ago, a very special Teddy bear was offered for sale at London's most prestigious auction house. Since it was expected to be one of the most desirable items in the sale, the Teddy bear was featured on the cover of the widely distributed auction catalogue. In Giengen, a Steiff designer was captivated by the image of the bear. "Wouldn't this make a wonderful replica?" he wondered. As the years passed, the designer often recalled the beauty of that special Teddy bear. After 10 years of waiting, the time has finally come to present this unique bear to other Steiff collectors. It was originally designed in 1908 and is now available as an exact replica of the original. The most unique aspect is the elaborate plush developed by Steiff Schulte. 	The Teddy bear 1948, is 29 cm in size, 5-way jointed, has a squeaker, glass eyes, is stuffed with wood shaving, made from blond colored alpaca and is limited to 1000 pieces. After the end of World War II, shortages forced Steiff designers to find alternative materials as the company attempted to resume normal production. As traditional mohair was unavailable, other types of fibre and fabrics were used in production. From this remarkable period of history comes the Teddy bear replica 1948. Instead of mohair, the plush is made from blond alpaca, which most closely approximates the look and feel of the wool plush used at the time. Because wool felt was also scarce during this period, the Teddy bear's paw pads are sewn from a stable cotton fabric. The nose is hand-stitched. The origins of the cuddly Baerle go back to 1905. It was the affectionate name that Richard Steiff gave to the new bear with the friendly expression, embroidered nose and endearing little hump, whose wood shavings and kapok stuffing make him pleasantly light. This new Baerle pretends that he was born back in those early days: his white mohair looks a little yellowed, his disc-jointed head and arms sit loosely on his body and even his soles are of cardboard - just as they were back then. Steiff Special Austria, Germany & Switzerland
	The Postman Teddy bear with Post Volkswagen Beetle model car, comes with a 5-way jointed 10 cm caramel colored mohair Teddy bear and a Volkswagen Beetle post car (scale 1:18, length 23 cm, width 8,5 cm height 8,4 cm). The Teddy is dressed in a typical German postman uniform and carries a post bag. The Volkswagen Beetle production started already in 1930 but it took until 1945 before it was produced in big numbers and became an international sensation. in 1955, only 10 years later, the one millions Volkswagen Beetle was build and released. This was a very reliable car and that is why the German Post used thousands of these Volkswagen Beetles to bring the post to the homes in Germany. 	The Fireman Teddy bear with Fireman Isetta model car set, comes with a 5-way jointed 10 cm beige colored mohair Teddy bear and a Isetta 250 fire-engine complete with ladder and equipment (scale 1:18, length 13 cm, width 7,5 cm height 10,5 cm). The Teddy is dressed in a red fireman's coat and has a hose in one of his paws. The Isetta originally was designed in Italy and produced from 1955 until 1962 by BMW Germany. In the 1950's and 60's the Isetta was one of many mini cars which were extremely popular in that time. In total 161.728 Isetta's were build but only 1 like this model which is still in use by a fire brigade in a town close by Hamburg in Germany. 	The Policeman Teddy bear with Police Goggomobil model car set, comes with a 5-way jointed 10 cm light gold colored mohair Teddy bear and a Goggomobil police car (scale 1:18, length 16 cm, width 7,7 cm height 8,8 cm). The Teddy is dressed in a typical German police uniform made out of wool. This mini car was build by the company Hans Glas in the bavarian town of Dingolfing in Germany. 	The My way Teddy bear with music-box, is 30 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from gray colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. When French composers Claude Francois and Jacques Revaux wrote a catchy new love song entitled "Comme d'habitude" in 1967, they had no way of knowing their tune would become the basis for a world-wide hit. But that's exactly what happened. Decades later "My Way" remains one of the most performed songs of all time. it is also the inspiration for a new wind-up musical Teddy from Steiff. With more than 50 million copies sold, it is the touching story of an orphan girl raised by her grandfather in the Swiss Alps. this beloved character is now available as a Steiff collectable. Heidi wears a red linen dress embroidered with an Edelweiss blossom and in one of her ears a Daisy. 	King Ludwig Teddy bear,, is 25 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from blond colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. The bear represents Ludwig II who was born 25.August 1845 and died 13.June 1886. He wears a blue velvet coat lined in white with Neuschwanstein castle embroidered, a red sash and a necklace with red and green stones. 	Every year since 1998, a Museum bear has been produced for the Margarete Steiff Museum. These bears have proved extremely popular with Steiff fans and collectors. So this year too, the popular series of Museum Teddy Bears is being continued. The Steiff Museum Bear 2014 is 28 cm tall and is traditionally handcrafted in the finest dark blue alpaca. Around his neck he wears on a ribbon a porcelain badge on which "Steiff Museum" is printed. The Museum Bear has jointed arms, legs and head, hand-stitched claws, has a growler and is limited to an edition of the sold bears during the year 2014. He has on his right paw "Steiff Museumsbaer" and on his left "2014" embroidered. He comes with a certificate and does not have a box. EAN 673818

	The Isar 12 Policeman Teddy bear, is 30 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from gray/black colored mohair and is limited to 750 pieces. He comes with a Schuco German police model car (1:43), a BMW 501, which was used by the Police in Bavaria in the 1960's. This model car is as well limited to 750 pieces and is only available in the set with the Teddy bear. This set is made in remembrance of a nostalgic German TV series from 60's called "Funkstreife Isar 12" (TV series about a Bavarian Police man). 	The Rothenburg Germany Teddy bear,, is 25 cm in size, 5-way jointed, has glass eyes, made from blond colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. Many Club members and collectors in Germany will know Manfred Feurer, both the name and the man. Rilakkuma is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company San-X, created by former employee Aki Kondo. Companies such as Re-Ment have collaborated with San-X to create Rilakkuma merchandise. Rilakkuma appears on items such as stationery, dishware, backpacks, and stuffed animals. Rilakkuma's name is a combination of rirakkusu, a Japanese transliteration of the English word "relax", and kuma, the Japanese word for "bear". Rilakkuma's origin story is that he mysteriously appears in the office lady Kaoru's apartment one day. He is a soft toy bear who has apparently decided to take up residence there. On his back there is a zipper embroidered (which cannot be opened). The reason for the zipper on his back is unknown. He was first seen in a series of picture books called Rilakkuma Seikatsu produced by San-X but since has become equally popular as a soft-toy character.
