Steiff Club
	The Event bear 2019, only available at special Steiff trunk shows and club events, is 5-way jointed, is made out of light brown colored mohair and is a 22 cm in size. The coloring of the Event bear was designed to match the Club edition and the annual gift for 2019, and is an absolute classic. The bear does not come in a box but has a certificate of authenticity. 	The Club edition 2019 Teddy bear, is 31 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from a cappuccino colored wool felt, is limited to 1250 pieces and comes in a collectors box with certificate of authenticity. This bear is the second in a series of three matching bears decorated with Swarovski® crystals. For this bear the crystals are decorated in the shape of a lizard motif. A soft, light green voile bow underscores the elegant character. For the first time the Club items in 2019 will have a gray ear-tag. EAN 421549

	Steiff Club membership gift 2019 Teddy bear, is 11 cm in size, 5-way jointed, and comes in a collectors box with certificate of authenticity. Made of light beige colored mohair and with paws and soles in brown-beige felt. He wears a light green voile bow and has a hand-stitched nose in hazelnut colored mercerised yarn. The bear will only be available in 2019 and the edition size has not been announced by Steiff yet. EAN 421556

	Elephant on wheels, is only available to Steiff Club members. He is not jointed, has glass eyes, is stuffed with wood shavings, made out of white colored paper plush, 28 cm in size and limited to only 139 pieces. At the end of World War I, Steiff was faced with a lack of wool and similar plush materials. Always innovative, the company found ways to produce bears and animals with a substitute paper-based material from 1919 through 1921. Steiff Festival Specials
	The Steiff Workshop Teddy bear 2019 has been produced at one of the workshops organized by Steiff. The unusual aspect of this bear is that there is no bear in this edition which looks alike. Each bear was produced by one of the participants of the workshops organized by the Steiff Club during the year. The bears paws are embroidered with "Steiff Workshop" (right) and name of the participant and date of the workshop (left). Each participant could choose the color of the eyes and the yarn for the stitching of the nose, mouth and paws. The eyes were put in by the participants as was the stitching of the nose, mouth and paws. The bear is 36 cm in size, made from cinnamon colored mohair, has a growler and does not come in a box and does not have a certificate of authenticity. EAN 674891

	The Top hat Teddy bear Steiff Summer Festival 2019, is limited to 500 pieces, not jointed, 18 cm in size, made from a white colored alpaca and is exclusively sold at the festival. The top hat is made from black colored felt. The bear does not have legs and is more like a hand puppet which is attached to a wooden stick such that it can be moved in and out of the hat. 	The Steiff mini Teddy bear Steiff Summer Festival 2019, is limited to 139 pieces, 16 cm in size and was not available for sale. This bear was presented as a gift by Steiff to each of the exhibitors at the Steiff Summer festival. The Steiff Summer Teddy bear is made of finest light blue colored alpaca. In prior years this was a mini edition of the Steiff Summer Festival bear but in this year it is a mini edition of the Steiff Museum bear. He comes in a box and has a certificate of authenticity. 	Disney mohair Sorcerer's apprentice Mickey Mouse, is 30 cm in size, 1-way jointed, has embroidered eyes, made from multicolored mohair and is limited to 1940 pieces. "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (German: "Der Zauberlehrling") is a poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe written in 1797. The poem is a ballad in fourteen stanzas. The animated 1940 Disney film Fantasia popularized the story from Goethe's poem, and the Paul Dukas symphonic poem based on it, in one of eight animated shorts based on classical music. In the piece, which retains the title "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", Mickey Mouse plays the apprentice, and the story follows Goethe's original closely, except that the sorcerer ("Yen Sid", or Disney backwards) is stern and angry with his apprentice when he saves him. Fantasia popularized Goethe's story to a worldwide audience. The segment proved so popular that it was repeated, in its original form, in the sequel Fantasia 2000. Mickey Mouse made his debut on November 18, 1928, at the Colony Theater in New York in Steamboat Willie, Disney’s first animated cartoon with synchronized sound. Walt Disney directed the short film and contributed his own squeaks to the soundtrack, which was backed by a 15-piece band recorded with the Powers Cinephone process. As a mischievous deckhand on a riverboat, Mickey – to Minnie’s delight – creates a musical version of “Turkey in the Straw,” utilizing an animal menagerie as his instruments. The tyrannical Captain Pete is not amused, and Mickey finds himself peeling potatoes in the galley. Steamboat Willie is issued in celebration of 90 years of Mickey Mouse. This was a Christmas gift package issued by the German company "Lebkuchen Schmidt" that consited of a Steiff Charly Teddy bear and 2 packages of German Lebkuchen one in a plastic wrap and oe in a nice box. 	The Bärenmarke Teddy bear, is 30 cm in size, not jointed, has a special chest tag, made from light brown plush and is not limited (yellow ear-tag). Bärenmarke is a German company that produces milk products and especially known for coffee milk and recently coffee creamer and yoghurt. He does not have a certificate of authenticity and does not come in a box. Other bears issued in this series are Nostalgic-Milk bear "Bärenmarke" 1977, 1996 2003 and 2019 (30 cm and 85 cm which was used as a POS promotional item in displays). EAN 991790

	The Bärenmarke Teddy bear, is 85 cm in size, not jointed, has a special chest tag, made from light brown plush and is not limited (yellow ear-tag). Nothing beats a friend for life, under this motto, Bärenmarke is giving away the plush counterpart of its popular advertising figure created together with Steiff exclusively at Food Retail Centers. The competition and bear are staged in an eye-catching way by a secondary placement by DS Smith. "Nothing beats family" is the name of the new campaign with which Bärenmarke positions itself as a family brand and promotes the further development of its dairy products from the coffee table to the breakfast table. In the new TV spot, the iconic bear brand bear has already secured his place within the family. Now the popular advertising figure conquers the hearts of small and large fans as a licensed product for cuddling. The two plush pendants of the baerenmarke-Bären were created in close cooperation with the company Steiff. While the 30 cm small bear has been available since July via the new bear brand online shop, its 85 cm big brother will be raffled off exclusively as part of POS (Point Of Sale) campaigns. 	The Krumbacher lamb, is 24 cm in size, not jointed, made from white colored plush and is limited to 10000 pieces. Krumbach is a company in Germany that produces mineral water. After a succesful campaign in 2017 and 2018 (Steiff Krumbacher plush cow and chick) was another campaign started in Autumn 2019. After a customer bought 15 cases, each containing 12 bottles, of mineral water one could obtain the Krumbacher lamb for free. 	The Hagos trucker Teddy bear, is 38 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from blond mohair and is limited to 600 pieces only. He wears a white shirt, with denim jacket, leather trousers, shoes and a cap. This bear was produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Hagos. From the 600 pieces, 400 were provided as a gift to the employees and only 200 were offered for sale. At the beginning of the Weimar Republic, none of the founding fathers of the Hagos would have guessed that the cooperative would develop into the leading wholesale trade for all products relating to traditional tiled stove construction in the German-speaking and neighboring countries. For initially the tiled stove farmers were only interested in improving their position in the market. They wanted to buy their own ovens, which they built in apartments and houses, and to ensure the supplies after the war with kiln-building materials. Until then, the common practice was that the construction companies sourced the stoves directly from the manufacturers and the stove builders only hired to connect the systems. With the founding of the Hagos in 1919, this changed rapidly. The Hagos trucker Teddy bear has a certificate of authenticity and does come in a special box. 	The Visit Florida manatee, is 35 cm in size, not jointed, made from gray colored plush and is not limited (yellow ear-tag). Visit Florida, the official tourist office for the US state of Florida , is launching a comprehensive campaign with numerous measures in cooperation with Steiff and the German travel group FTI. So FTI puts on a newly conceived rental car tour "Florida Wild and Wonderful", which includes a route from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale. The focus of the trip are "animal" adventures at each station to increase the awareness of experiences away from the well-known metropolises and beaches. As a special gift when booking a trip one receives a Steiff Manatee, which was designed especially for the campaign. Until end of January 2019 ran an online raffle "give our manatee a name", in which participants could win one of 100 Steiff manatees or a round trip rental car for two with FTI when they had chosen the favorite name for the stuffed animal, out of five names. On February 1 and 2, 2019, a life-size Steiff Manatee was hiding in the Pasing Arcaden near Munich. Passers-by who spotted him and shared a photo on Facebook or Instagram also had the chance to travel. On the 4th and 5th of February the action took place at Düsseldorf Main Station. Other places were visted as well as part of this campaign like the Steiff Festival in Giengen. The campaign aims to raise awareness of Florida as an adventure and outdoor destination. 	Baby Ottifant, is 20 cm in size, not jointed, made from light gray plush and is not limited. Hooray, it's a … baby Ottifant! Otto is now grandpa - his Ottifants now have an offspring! Baloo is the deuteragonist of Disney's 1967 animated feature film, The Jungle Book. He is a fun-loving, easygoing, and good-natured sloth bear who becomes the best friend of a "man-cub" named Mowgli. In the original book by Rudyard Kipling, Baloo was much more of a serious character, as he was very strict toward Mowgli and was unwilling to tolerate negligence. When Walt Disney began to develop a film based on the novel, Bill Peet originally wrote a version that was set to be close to the source material, but many changes were made, including Baloo's personality, which was changed into a fun-loving, humble personality. While that version of the film was scraped, the final version still utilized many of the characterizations featured in Bill Peet's version including Baloo's, with his relationship with Mowgli servng as the heart of the film. The music box plays the song "The Barenecessities" from the Jungle Book. This trademark song by Baloo, was actually written for Bill Peet's original draft of the film. When Walt overtook the project, "The Bare Necessities" and the accompanying songs were cut, with the Sherman Brothers being brought on to write the new songs. Margarete Steiff sits in her wheelchair, contemplating the full, rich life that she has led. In 1908 or thereabouts, this was a typical setting for the company founder. In the picture, the angle of Margarete’s hand and the cap the bear is wearing combine to make his ears look pointed – almost like those of a cat.
